Work Experience

Fullstack Software Engineer

The Mom Project from Apr 6, 2020 to Sep 6, 2023

I’ve worked remotely on several teams in the department of product, design, and engineering across different time zones including in Europe, on an employer and talent-facing marketplace experience across a monolith and a few microservices.

  • Pair programmed with teammates, giving and asking for feedback through code reviews and Slack, Loom videos, UATs, release and retro meetings.
  • Implemented new features for the marketplace, ranging from an employer dashboard, candidate job search flows, and transactional SendGrid emails.
  • Worked across the entire stack of a monolithic Rails app with a React frontend and transitioned it toward a microservice frontend using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Wrote RSpec, Capybara, and Jest tests to build confidence in making code changes.
  • Contributed to the creation of a brand new component library using Material UI, TypeScript, and Storybook, collaborating closely with designers to clarify specs.
  • Developed technical design documents to spearhead upcoming epics and investigate technical challenges. Contributed to engineering-wide documentation and guides to improve knowledge-sharing.

Web Developer

Wolfram Research Inc. from Sep 17, 2012 to Mar 27, 2020

I’ve worked in-person and remotely with my team, web implementation, maintaining around 50 websites, and we’ve created new ones every year. They fall under the categories of marketing, pricing, courses, videos, events, newsletters, web documentations, and forms.

  • Converted several HTML sites into a WordPress multi-site that enabled the team to manage multiple sites in a single place. This freed up developer time by allowing other teams to create and update content, enabling faster time to publication.
  • Applied CSS and JavaScript to static web pages to make them responsive and interactive for the Wolfram Language & System Documentation Center, the web documentation for the Wolfram Language software.
  • Used a YouTube API to keep a livestreaming page up-to-date with minimal maintenance.
  • Proactively developed a global copy-to-clipboard feature to make site maintenance easier for the developer team.
